ESI Due Date and Late Payment
ESI contribution for a wage month is payable by the 15th of the following month.

Late payment
Interest is charged on delayed contributions, and ESIC may additionally levy damages depending on the length of the delay. Unpaid contributions are recoverable from the employer, and the employer can also be made to bear the cost of benefits an employee lost because of non-payment.
