Process
- 1The principal employer obtains CLRA registration for the establishment.
- 2The principal employer issues Form V to the contractor for the specific work.
- 3The contractor applies for the licence with Form V, the work order and supporting documents.
- 4Licence fee and security deposit are paid as prescribed.
- 5The licence is issued for the specified number of workmen and period.
- 6Renewal is applied for before expiry, and returns are filed as prescribed.
After the licence is issued
- Maintain the register of contract labour, muster roll, wage register and wage slips.
- Display the notice showing rates of wages, hours of work and wage period.
- Pay wages in the presence of the principal employer's authorised representative where required.
- File the prescribed returns; the principal employer files its annual return.
