Who must register under EPF?
Any establishment employing 20 or more persons must register within 30 days. Smaller employers may opt for voluntary coverage by passing a board resolution and applying through the EPFO portal.
Documents required for EPF registration
PAN, incorporation certificate, GST, cancelled cheque, address proof, DSC of authorised signatory and a list of employees with dates of joining and PF wages.
Post-registration compliance
After PF code allotment, you must generate UANs, complete KYC, file the first ECR before the 15th of the following month and display the PF abstract at the workplace.
